It is an amazing process to go through in getting your house painted. It is the equivalent of offering your house a face-lift. It will leave you and your home sensation revitalized, clean and like new. Although it can in some cases be an annoyance to have your home sensation like a work site, the end product is always fulfilling.

The most important part of a paint task is how you care for the paint finishing after completion. The upkeep of the interior and exterior of a structure post paint works is necessary to keeping your home appearing like brand-new for longer.

The cost of re-painting a home is an expenditure that many people would not wish to include in their budget plan more often than is essential. Keeping a newly painted surface properly preserved can extend the life of the painted surface area and include a couple of additional years in between repainting. Here are our tips on keeping and looking after your paint job:

INTERIOR PAINTWORK MAINTENANCE

  • Recommended time to clean after a paint task is 2 weeks after application of the final leading coat– this is to get rid of any dust which has been gathered.
  • Majority of paints used on interior walls are washable.
  • This means they can be periodically cleaned with a milk soap water solution. Utilizing a sponge and moderate soap solution lightly scrub the areas that have any light discolorations or marks. Keep in mind that older and persistent discolorations are tough to get rid of and should not be continually scrubbed hard as this could result in long-term damage to the paint work.
  • To prevent stubborn stains guarantee any stains are cleaned up quickly to avoid drying up and ending up being irreversible.
  • Regular cleaning helps preserve the look of the paint job and it is suggested to clean and wash walls as soon as a month.
  • For areas vulnerable to dirt and marks, e.g. Children’s spaces, it is advised to get a single coat of paint done every 2 years or so.
  • It is necessary that you frequently check your walls for any indications of peeling paint as this can be the very first indication of more major issues such as water damage or seepage issues. As soon as you see any issue areas it is essential to get the expert guidance from a painting professional and take care of and damage instantly to avoid more major issues.
  • Any locations exposed to sunlight, especially windows and door frames, will lose shine in time. It is suggested to apply a single coat every 2 years to keep them looking fresh.

OUTSIDE PAINTWORK MAINTENANCE

  • Ensure you frequently examine the exterior of your house to ensure you are on top of any modifications or irregularities. Whilst gardening or pottering around the backyard make certain to do a visual inspection of your outside. If you discover any problems such as peeling paint or any other problems that are calling out for repair make sure to have an expert specialist take a look at the issue and advise how to move on without having to wait till the problem gets any even worse.
  • All window sills and door frames need to be checked for bubbles and fading. These features might need to be sanded back and re-painted with one coat to maintain that brand name new appearance every two years.
  • After you have checked for any issue locations or repairs it is essential to keep in mind how unclean the exterior is. It is necessary to occasionally wash down your exterior as dirt starts to collect. The more frequently you do this, the less the develop. Annual washing is typically stipulated as a condition of warranties provided by paint makers and painting applicators.
  • Please note that high-pressure cleaning can actually damage your paint surface. It is recommended to perform normal pressure cleaning with your garden tube and a soft brush to loosen dirt. This will brighten your paint surface significantly.
Be proactive in your outside upkeep. This will ensure your paint job lasts more years and will reduce the need for frequent re-painting.
  • Failure to carry out proactive maintenance, particularly the failure to annually wash exterior surfaces might void the service warranty supplied by the paint maker and painting applicators.

Donore (Irish: Dún Uabhair, meaning “Fort of pride”),[1] historically Dunower, is a small village near Drogheda in County Meath, Ireland. It lies on the Meath–Louth border in the Boyne Valley on the road between Drogheda and the Brú na Bóinne heritage site. Donore is only 2 km from the visitors’ centre at Brú na Bóinne. During the late 17th century, the village was used as a defensive position by the Jacobite army of King James II against King William III during the Battle of the Boyne (1690). The Battle of the Boyne between King William III and his father-in-law, King James II, was fought on 1 July 1690 (11 July according to our modern calendar). Both kings commanded their armies in person, 36,000 on the Williamite side and 25,000 on the Jacobite side – the largest number of troops ever deployed on an Irish battlefield. At stake were the British throne, French dominance in Europe and power in Ireland. The Battle of the Boyne Visitor Centre is located in the recently restored 18th century Oldbridge House, which is on the battlesite. Free access to the battlesite, parklands and the formal gardens.

The village has undergone much growth in recent years as a result of its location near the recent extension of the M1 motorway, and now has a pub and restaurant, shops, a pharmacy, a take-away and a hairdresser.
