The most vital part of a paint job is how you care for the paint finish after completion. The upkeep of the interior and exterior of a structure post paint works is essential to keeping your home or business looking like new for longer.

The expense of re-painting a home is a cost that most people would not wish to include in their budget regularly than is necessary. Keeping a newly painted finish appropriately maintained can extend the life of the painted surface and include a few additional years in between repainting. Here are our suggestions on maintaining and taking care of your paint task:

INTERIOR PAINTWORK MAINTENANCE

  • Recommended time to clean after a paint task is 2 weeks after application of the final top coat– this is to get rid of any dust which has been gathered.
  • Bulk of paints utilized on interior walls are washable.
  • This suggests they can be regularly cleaned with a milk soap water service. Using a sponge and mild soap option lightly scrub the areas that have any light spots or marks. Note that older and persistent spots are difficult to get rid of and ought to not be continually scrubbed hard as this could lead to long-term damage to the paint work.
  • To prevent stubborn stains make sure any discolorations are tidied up straight away to avoid drying up and ending up being irreversible.
  • Frequent cleaning helps preserve the appearance of the paint job and it is advised to clean and wash walls as soon as a month.
  • For areas susceptible to dirt and marks, e.g. Children’s spaces, it is suggested to get a single coat of paint done every 2 years approximately.
  • It is essential that you frequently examine your walls for any signs of peeling paint as this can be the first indication of more severe problems such as water damage or seepage problems. As soon as you notice any issue areas it is vital to get the professional recommendations from a painting professional and address and damage right away to prevent more major problems.
  • Any areas exposed to sunshine, especially windows and door frames, will lose shine over time. It is recommended to apply a single coat every 2 years to keep them looking fresh.

OUTSIDE PAINTWORK MAINTENANCE

  • Guarantee you regularly inspect the outside of your property to guarantee you are on top of any modifications or abnormalities. Whilst gardening or pottering around the yard make sure to do a visual inspection of your exterior. If you notice any problems such as peeling paint or other problems that are calling out for repair make certain to have a professional contractor take a look at the concern and advise the best ways to progress without needing to wait until the issue gets any worse.
  • All window sills and door frames have to be checked for bubbles and fading. These functions might need to be sanded back and re-painted with one coat to maintain that brand brand-new appearance every 2 years.
  • After you have checked for any issue locations or repairs it is very important to keep in mind how dirty the exterior is. It is necessary to occasionally wash down your outside as dirt starts to gather. The more often you do this, the less the build up. Annual cleaning is typically stipulated as a condition of service warranties offered by paint makers and painting applicators.
  • Please note that high-pressure cleaning can really harm your paint finish. It is advised to carry out regular pressure cleaning with your garden hose and a soft brush to loosen up dirt. This will brighten your paint surface considerably.
Be proactive in your exterior upkeep. This will ensure your paint task lasts more years and will decrease the need for regular re-painting.
  • Failure to undertake proactive maintenance, particularly the failure to yearly wash outside surface areas might void the warranty provided by the paint producer and painting applicators.

Donore (Irish: Dún Uabhair, meaning “Fort of pride”),[1] historically Dunower, is a small village near Drogheda in County Meath, Ireland. It lies on the Meath–Louth border in the Boyne Valley on the road between Drogheda and the Brú na Bóinne heritage site. Donore is only 2 km from the visitors’ centre at Brú na Bóinne. During the late 17th century, the village was used as a defensive position by the Jacobite army of King James II against King William III during the Battle of the Boyne (1690). The Battle of the Boyne between King William III and his father-in-law, King James II, was fought on 1 July 1690 (11 July according to our modern calendar). Both kings commanded their armies in person, 36,000 on the Williamite side and 25,000 on the Jacobite side – the largest number of troops ever deployed on an Irish battlefield. At stake were the British throne, French dominance in Europe and power in Ireland. The Battle of the Boyne Visitor Centre is located in the recently restored 18th century Oldbridge House, which is on the battlesite. Free access to the battlesite, parklands and the formal gardens.

The village has undergone much growth in recent years as a result of its location near the recent extension of the M1 motorway, and now has a pub and restaurant, shops, a pharmacy, a take-away and a hairdresser.
