Whilst gardening or pottering around the backyard be sure to do a visual examination of your outside. If you discover any concerns such as peeling paint or other problems that are calling out for repair work make sure to have a professional specialist look at the problem and suggest the best ways to progress without having to wait up until the problem gets any worse.
- All window sills and door frames need to be looked for bubbles and fading. These features might have to be sanded back and re-painted with one coat to preserve that brand name brand-new look every two years.
- After you have looked for any problem locations or repairs it is essential to keep in mind how unclean the exterior is. It is essential to periodically wash down your outside as dirt begins to collect. The more frequently you do this, the less the build up. Annual cleaning is often stipulated as a condition of warranties provided by paint makers and painting applicators.
- Please note that high-pressure cleaning can actually harm your paint surface. It is advised to perform typical pressure washing with your garden pipe and a soft brush to loosen up dirt. This will brighten your paint finish substantially.
Be proactive in your exterior upkeep. This will ensure your paint task lasts more years and will decrease the need for regular re-painting.
- Failure to undertake proactive upkeep, especially the failure to yearly wash outside surface areas may void the warranty provided by the paint manufacturer and painting applicators.

Tallaght (/ˈtælə/ TAL-ə; Irish: Tamhlacht, IPA: [ˈt̪ˠəul̪ˠəxt̪ˠ]) is the largest town, and county town, of South Dublin, and the largest suburb of the city of Dublin, Ireland. The village area, dating from at least the 1st century, held one of the earliest settlements known in the southern part of the island, and one of medieval Ireland’s more important monastic centres.
Up to the 1960s Tallaght was a small village in County Dublin, linked to several nearby rural areas which were part of the large civil parish of the same name – the local council estimates the then population at 2,500. Suburban development began in the 1970s and a town centre area has been developing since the late 1980s. There is no legal definition of the boundaries of Tallaght, but the electoral divisions known as “Tallaght” followed by the name of a locality have, according to the 2016 census, a population of 76,119, up from 69,454 over five years. There have been calls in recent years for Tallaght to be declared a city.
