It is an interesting procedure to go through in getting your home painted. It is the equivalent of giving your home a face-lift. It will leave you and your home feeling refreshed, clean and fresh. Although it can sometimes be a problem to have your house sensation like a work site, completion product is always gratifying.

The most important part of a paint task is how you care for the paint covering after conclusion. The maintenance of the interior and exterior of a structure post paint works is essential to keeping your house appearing like new for longer.

The expense of re-painting a home is an expenditure that the majority of people would not want to consist of in their budget more frequently than is essential. Keeping a newly painted finish appropriately maintained can extend the life of the painted surface and include a few extra years between repainting. Here are our ideas on keeping and taking care of your paint task:

INTERIOR PAINTWORK MAINTENANCE

  • Recommended time to clean after a paint task is 2 weeks after application of the last top coat– this is to remove any dust which has been collected.
  • Majority of paints used on interior walls are washable.
  • This means they can be regularly cleaned with a milk soap water solution. Using a sponge and moderate soap solution gently scrub the areas that have any light spots or marks. Keep in mind that very old and persistent discolorations are difficult to eliminate and must not be continuously scrubbed hard as this might lead to permanent damage to the paint work.
  • To avoid persistent discolorations guarantee any discolorations are tidied up straight away to avoid drying up and becoming irreversible.
  • Regular cleaning helps preserve the appearance of the paint task and it is advised to clean and wash walls as soon as a month.
  • For locations prone to dirt and marks, e.g. Children’s spaces, it is suggested to obtain a single coat of paint done every 2 years or so.
  • It is necessary that you frequently examine your walls for any indications of peeling paint as this can be the first indication of more severe issues such as water damage or seepage problems. As soon as you observe any problem areas it is necessary to get the professional advice from a painting professional and attend to and damage immediately to prevent more major issues.
  • Any locations exposed to sunlight, particularly windows and door frames, will lose shine with time. It is advised to apply a single coat every two years to keep them looking fresh.

EXTERIOR PAINTWORK MAINTENANCE

  • Ensure you frequently check the exterior of your house to guarantee you are on top of any modifications or irregularities. Whilst gardening or pottering around the lawn make sure to do a visual inspection of your exterior. If you see any issues such as peeling paint or other problems that are calling out for repair make certain to have an expert contractor take a look at the issue and advise ways to move on without having to wait until the issue gets any even worse.
  • All window sills and door frames have to be checked for bubbles and fading. These features may need to be sanded back and re-painted with one coat to maintain that brand name new look every 2 years.
  • After you have actually looked for any problem areas or repairs it is necessary to note how dirty the exterior is. It is necessary to sometimes wash down your outside as dirt begins to gather. The more often you do this, the less the build up. Annual washing is often stated as a condition of service warranties supplied by paint makers and painting applicators.
  • Please note that high-pressure cleaning can in fact damage your paint finish. It is recommended to carry out typical pressure cleaning with your garden pipe and a soft brush to loosen up dirt. This will brighten your paint surface substantially.
Be proactive in your exterior upkeep. This will guarantee your paint task lasts more years and will decrease the need for frequent re-painting.
  • Failure to carry out proactive upkeep, particularly the failure to annually wash exterior surfaces might void the warranty provided by the paint manufacturer and painting applicators.

Laytown (Irish: An Inse, meaning “the holm”) is a village in County Meath, Ireland, located on the R150 regional road and overlooking the Irish Sea. Historically it was called Ninch,[2] after the townland it occupies.[3] Together with the neighbouring villages of Mornington and Bettystown it comprises the census town of Laytown-Bettystown-Mornington with a combined population of 10,889 at the 2011 Census, which is part of the wider area collectively known as East Meath. The 2016 Census recorded a population of 11,872 in the area which is now called Laytown-Bettystown-Mornington-Donacarney.[4]

The surrounding area is known to have been settled for around 1500 years; recent excavations have revealed settlement at Laytown since at least the 6th century AD.
